Bruce & Bonnie

2020 kids & families

All BOTMC events are appropriate for all ages, but this year, we have 3 concerts that are especially meant for children and families!  All are on the BOTMC YouTube Channel.

Friday, Sept. 25

(10:00 am)

CONCERT FOR VERY young children
and their families

featuring Bruce & Bonnie
This online concert is designed especially for pre-schoolers.  Bruce & Bonnie (aka WB Reid and Bonnie Zahnow) have been making music with and for children since their own children were babies. Back home in Seattle, they have a regular music gig with preschool kids twice a week (which has continued online during the pandemic) and play regularly for family dances. Bruce is an alumnus of two of the Northwest’s finest dance bands, the Tallboys and the Rhythm Rollers. As a duo, Bruce and Bonnie have played for contra and square dances from coast to coast and border to border.

Saturday, Sept. 26

(10:00 am)

CONCERT FOR children

Charmaine Slaven and Charlie Beck are longtime mainstays of Seattle's oldtime music scene. They have been performing together for 15 years and now have a young daughter. Charmaine step-dances and plays guitar at the same time!  She also plays the fiddle. Charlie plays banjo and guitar, and they both sing.
